Mill Bay Marina Photo Album

Scenery:
Mill Bay, and the surrounding area, offers a multitude of things to see and do. Majestic, snow capped Mount Baker glistens in the sun to the east of the marina, adding to the already beautiful mountain and ocean landscape.
Walk up to the shop, have a cup of coffee, on the house, and catch the "morning crew" solving the world's problems, checking out the latest Internet jokes or get them to give you a first hand lesson on how to catch your limit of prawns.

Sea Life:
The waters of the bay are full of millions of fish. Crabs glide across the sea floor, bright golden sun star fish, and purple star fish add a dash of color, while the Sea Anemones flutter gracefully under the shop on the pilings. On the breakwater, seals bask in the sun, nurse their babies or just play in the water. Occasionally Orca whales make their way in or out of the inlet.

Golf:
Golf anyone? A short cab ride will take you to Arbutus Ridge Golf and Country Club, a renowned golf course and dining room. A few miles north, towards Duncan, is the Cowichan Valley Golf and Country Club. Both are open to the public.

Fine Dining:
"Lives of the Rich and Famous"
Have dinner where they've stayed and dined at the Aerie, atop the Malahat, overlooking the Saanich Inlet. The place for that extra special occasion! Maybe you'll run into a celebrity or two!

Local Events:
Brentwood College, about two blocks north of the marina, hosts the International Rowing Championship in the spring. They pass the marina, so you have a "bird's eye" view from the comfort of your boat!

Shopping & Transportation:
Public transit goes to Duncan, Victoria and Nanaimo if you want to take a day trip to the city. Budget Rent a Car is available out of Duncan. A one block walk, takes you to the shopping center, where you can browse the gift store, dollar store, wine arts store and clothing stores for treasures of all kinds. Take a tour of the Merridale Cider works just west of Mill Bay, home of the famous Merridale Cider and Scrumpy.

A Perfect End to a Perfect Day!
On Saturday nights, in the July and August, Butchart Gardens' fireworks display attracts boaters to Todd Inlet. Pack your dinner, and cruise there and back with other boaters from the marina; a perfect ending to a summer day!

Not into golf, shopping, or fine dining; just relaxing? We have no pub here,
no restaurant on the premises, just blue water, blue skies, peace and quiet!

Come and stay awhile. We're sure you'll be back!
